Work with tables
Store structured records that workflows can read and update.
IN THIS LESSON
- Choose tables for records with named fields.
- Use the Tables node to read and change rows.
Model the record first
A table is useful for leads, requests, tasks, and other structured records. Give each column a clear purpose. A support queue might contain a request ID, email address, status, and summary.
Connect a Tables node
The available operations include Read Table, Query Rows, Add Row, Update Row, and Delete Row. Select the table and configure the fields needed by that operation.
Use Query Rows when you need a matching subset. Use an existing row identifier when updating a particular record. Check the output before treating a write as successful.
Design for repeated events
If the same event arrives twice, blindly adding a row may create duplicates. Decide how your process identifies an existing record and whether it should update or create one.
Try it
Create a small test table. Add one row through a workflow, query it, and update its status. Verify the record after each run.
