Process a list with Loop

Run connected steps for each item in an array.

IN THIS LESSON

  • Supply an array to a Loop.
  • Choose what happens when an item fails.

Configure the items

Loop runs its connected body once for each item in the Items array. Use the variable picker to select a list from an earlier step, such as rows from a table query.

Choose the result and error behavior

The optional Result expression is evaluated after each body run. If it is empty, the current item is collected. If an item fails lets you continue and collect the error, or stop the loop and fail the workflow.

The advanced Maximum iterations setting bounds the work. Its default is 100 and the supported range is 1 to 1,000. Test with a few records before using a large list.

Try it

Use a three-item list and a body that transforms each item. Inspect the collected results. Then test an invalid item and confirm that your selected error behavior fits the process.
