Nodes

Explore the building blocks of your workflows

Nodes are the building blocks of every workflow. Each node performs a specific action — generating AI text, sending an email, querying a database, or controlling the execution flow.

Trigger Nodes

A trigger starts a workflow run. Add more triggers directly; saving a second trigger upgrades an existing draft automatically. Each event starts its selected path. See adding another trigger.

Action Nodes

Action nodes do the work in your workflow. They are organized by category:

The complete tool and operation reference lists every standard universal-search entry and its configuration fields. Search API for HTTP requests and Wait for duration or date-based pauses.

Node Configuration

Click or double click any node to open its configuration panel. Common fields include:

  • Variable name — How downstream nodes reference this node's output
  • Operation — Which action to perform (for multi operation nodes)
  • Input fields — The data the node needs to operate
  • Connection — Which credential to use (for nodes requiring OAuth)

Nodes that change external systems can create real side effects during testing. Add Human Approval before irreversible actions when review is required.

Control and long-running nodes

NodeUse for
ConditionSplit into true and false paths using a deterministic rule
RouterLet AI select one of several named branches
WaitPause for a duration or until a specific time
Human ApprovalPause until a workspace member approves or rejects
Wait for EventPause until an external callback arrives
Edit FieldsLegacy node retained in existing workflows; use Code or Transform Array for new workflows
Transform ArrayMap, filter, or reduce a list

Node Status

During execution, each node shows a status indicator:

StatusMeaning
⏳ PendingWaiting to execute
🔄 RunningCurrently executing
✅ CompletedFinished successfully
❌ FailedEncountered an error
